THETAWAVES :: Painting Daily

Occasionally, I go back to painting people.
This painting of Miles Davis, the jazz great, started as a pen and ink drawing, and then evolved into a complete painting. If I can get enough people interested, I would like to publish giclees (prints on canvas.) That way, I can keep my original, and sell affordable reproductions to other jazz-lovers.

Over the years, my seascapes have developed into backgrounds for birds...
Some of them were finished for a long time before I added birds. Once I did, they came
fully to life. I still develop the backgrounds before I paint the birds in the foreground. My little niece, Amber, once remarked that my studio looked like the "Pelican Palace."
